When relationships enrich our lives and grow us up as women and followers of Christ, it's natural to offer the same level of friendship to other women.

In this episode, our hosts continue their conversation centered around women who influence others, fondly referred as [The Three Bettys](https://brendayoder.com/the-three-bettys-mentored/). This time, Ingrid and Brenda talk about the importance of reaching out to other women. Importance characteristics they discuss are:

- availability to younger women or those growing in faith (which we all are, right?)
- mutual benefits of investing in the lives of women
- the importance of asking someone you admire or respect to pour into your life.
- the role reciprocity plays in mentor or intergenerational relationships.

##### Resources:

- There are many resources which explain and equip women who wish to mentor others. Brenda is a speaker and leader with [Stonecroft Ministries](https://www.stonecroft.org/) and as she pours out to the women she serves, they also teach her how to disciple and mentor women.
- Brenda is also one of several women who mentor moms in the [Fledge Parent Facebook Forum](https://www.facebook.com/groups/fledgeparentforum/) for women in the season of raising and releasing all kids, but especially teens and young adults. Purchase Brenda's book, [Fledge: Launching Your Kids Without Losing Your Mind](https://www.amazon.com/Fledge-Launching-Your-Without-Losing/dp/1513802364) as she mentors moms through every component of releasing kids!
- [Ingrid](https://ingridlochamire.com/) has gained from a new book *[Becoming Sage: Cultivating Meaning, Purpose and Spirituality in Midlife by Michelle Van Loon.](https://www.amazon.com/Becoming-Sage-Cultivating-Meaning-Spirituality/dp/0802419445/) *Ingrid mentions what it means to "become sage" in this episode, drawing from VanLoon. She explains that all the ways we have struggled, stumbled, even failed in our lives can be transformed into wisdom if we submit them to God.
